I like to think of myself as a man’s man.

Others might not think of me in that way, and only time will bear out what kind of man that I am, or have become.

Until then, I enjoy partaking in manly activities, reading manly readings, and learning what great men in the past have done.

There’s a few places I go online to help me with this, and I wanted to share those.  I go to these sites, read them, and use them, because I love them and believe they’re great resources.

Ladies: With the holidays coming up, these sites are great resources for a man that’s hard to buy for.  Some are good for getting ideas, others have actual stores of products and merchandise.

With that said, here’s the list of my favorite manly resources:

The Art of Manliness – ArtofManliness.com
Art of Manliness is probably my favorite manly blog out there.  It’s dedicated, as they say, to “reviving the lost art of manliness.”  With posts on fitness, career, clothes, relationships, and personal development, this site basically has it all for men.  The posts can be a little lengthy at times, especially the ones about personal development, but they’re well-researched and worth the read.

It’s also a great resource for finding gifts, as they have a gift shop and regularly recommend items and brands of products that men would want.

Primer – PrimerMagazine.com
I feel like Primer is Art of Manliness’ younger, a-little-more-trendy brother.  It has a more modern edge to it than AoM, but still excels in some of the same areas.  Primer is a bit more oriented towards men’s fashion, and is explicitly geared towards 20-somethings.  (See the tagline at the top)

Huckberry – Huckberry.com (disclosure: referral link)
Huckberry is a gift and specialty merchandise store geared towards men that I found out about through Art of Manliness.  They have a revolving selection of merchandise from various high-quality brands that changes every week.  This allows them to get better-than-retail prices on nearly all of the items.  Note: They do require an email address to gain access to the store, but that’s all.

EDC – Everyday-Carry.com
Everyday Carry (EDC) is a fun little blog a friend told me about recently, and I’ve been hooked.  It’s a Tumblr blog to which men submit pictures of their Everyday Carry – what they carry with them on a daily basis in their pockets, on their belts, and generally on their person.  I’ve found a lot of great ideas for little gadgets and tools via this site and what I find recommended here.

Ransomed Heart Ministries – RansomedHeart.org
The spiritual aspect of our lives is one that many men find easy to disregard or not worry about, compared to the career, financial, or social areas of our lives.  But to be a whole man, you cannot neglect this aspect.  John Eldredge and Ransomed Heart Ministries have been going after the hearts of men for years.  I personally recommend the book Wild at Heart and have attended a Wild at Heart Bootcamp in the Colorado mountains.  Ransomed Heart offers great resources and books for men that are engaging and can help us understand and care for the spiritual aspects of our lives.

There you have it.  Enjoy, and let me know what you think!

Question: What other great manly resources did I miss?
