After much discussion and lots of requests, Nancy and I have decided that there’s no way we can’t lead a Financial Peace University (FPU) class this spring.  Having just paid off our house, the time is just right for us to do this, so we’re going to do it now instead of sometime later in the year.

For those of you who may not know much about FPU, it’s a 9-week series all about life and money.  Each session lasts about 90 minutes, and the curriculum covers everything from saving to budgeting, communication, insurance, real estate to retirement planning.

It’s this curriculum that set us on track to communicate well about money, save for a big down payment, put away $30,000 for retirement, give more money than we ever thought possible, and pay off our house in 32 months.

Here’s a video with a little more info on the class:

That “box,” with all the materials you need and lifetime FPU membership, costs $95.  Don’t let a $95 keep you from changing your life for good.  It’s worth it.  I promise.  If you’ve already been through FPU and just want to upgrade your materials, you can do that too. (New materials came out in August of last year.)

Our class will be held on Monday nights at the Celebration Church campus in Raleigh, from 6:30-8:00pm, starting on March 4th.  We’ll end before May.  You can register and pay here.  If you can’t make it, find a class that you can be a part of at

Question: So who’s with us?
