30 days, y’all, till the end of the year!  I’m excited for a new one.  2013 has been a bit of a mixed bag, so I’m excited for new things!

I’m excited about the holidays and everything they bring.  Obviously rest, family, food, and gifts are great, but one of my favorite parts of December is the reflection and looking-forward process that Nancy and I undertake.

We spend time reflecting on the things that went well and didn’t go well this year.  That generally happens over a Christmas dinner date.  Then look forward and set goals for our next year based on where we are and what we WANT our lives to look like.

It’s going to be a great month, y’all!  What do you want to do before the year is out?  I’m aiming for the following:

– Read Leadership Matters, The Liberty Amendments, and start a novel
–
Learn a new song on the harmonica
– Celebrate Christmas in Nashville – my first Christmas not at my house (aside from the time I worked on Christmas at Walgreens)
– Run 2x/week
– Celebrate Nancy’s 27th birthday!
– Finish wrapping presents before December 15
– Really rest and relax
– Enjoy my annual Christmas date with Nancy
– Watch Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas

What are you hoping to do before the end of the year?

Updated 12/6/13:  I’m going to have to amend my running goal.  I ran yesterday (not too long, just under 2 miles) and my ankle has been in pain since.  I’m going to have to lay off for a little while to give it time to heal.  Booo.
